I am a teacher with 30 years classroom experience in all sectors from Secondary, Primary and Special Ed. Needs. I am leaving my current school to begin a new chapter in life and have been investigating Life Coaching as a possible alternative and a good way to use all the skills I have built up over the years. In my research so far I have found it difficult to find a course with good accreditation and wondered if you would be able to advise on courses with good qualifications attached. I would like to avoid distance learning and am looking for a course which might offer interaction with fellow learners and teacher. If you have the time, I would be grateful for any information you could offer.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Irene

I agree, coaching is an excellent use of all those skills that you have developed as a teacher.

I achieved my Advanced Diploma with the OCM who I would highly recommend.
Information about the OCM’s qualification are here http://www.theocm.co.uk/qualifications.asp
My course lasted 12 months, there were 7 face to face days (in three visits) and a lot of interaction with my peers .
In fact, being inspired by my peers was was really made this qualification such a fabulous learning experience.
The qualification is one of the best in the country and with accreditation to the EMCC and Oxford Brookes University, it is highly regarding in coaching circles.
Mark Lester will be able to provide you will all the information you need on 01869 338989 or by e-mail mark@theocm.co.uk.
Mark is always very helpful, especially if you let him know I recommended you!

Let me know if this qualification is not right for you as I have others I can recommend or I am happy to buzz my network for you for more alternatives.

Warmest regards

Hannah
