What would you Think, Feel and Do if you received more encouragement from your colleagues?Do you believe that we get to be confident, efficient and effective leaders by taking responsibility not only for our own performance but also for the performance of our colleagues?
We each have a whole school responsibility to give encouragement, or feedback, that is aimed to Adjust but also to Affirm the behaviours that we observe. Our colleagues more often deliver effective behaviour and, therefore, performance when they are given frequent feedback on what they are doing and the impact of their behaviour. This Learning Packet contains a simple 3-step model for giving both Adjusting and Affirming Feedback than enables feedback to be delivered concisely and effectively. We also focus on receiving feedback and how to encourage our colleagues to give us more encouragement. |
