Are you making the very best use of your EHP?

All EHP Grant money must be spent by 31 March 2011 at the latest.

…and if you became a head teacher before April 2008 then you will need to spend your EHP (Early Headship Provision) a lot sooner.

If you don’t spend your money in time then you loose it.

You have many options of how to spend your EHP (Early Headship Provision) Grant and we love helping enthusiastic headteachers, like you, to discover which is the best option/s for them.
See what headteachers, like you, have said about our Early Headship Services here.

You may be looking for a coach or facilitator to visit you at your school, however if you are looking to escape school for a few days on a formal training course below are some highlights from around the country:

If you learn best by working alongside other headteachers then the Southern Education and Learning Trust (SELT) have a new 4-month programme starting in October 2010 called Touchstone.

If you want to give serious attention to the development of your coaching skills the Cente for Educational Leadership (CEL), at Manchester University, is running a programme in Leadership and Coaching development.

The Leading Effective Teams programme in Yorkshire and Humber lasts for 6-months and is a great way to learn life long leadership skills and grow with like minded leaders over 6 months…and beyond!

More options are available from the National College and Regional EHP Providers, see contact details below.

How do I check my EHP grant balance and expiry date?

Well it all depends on where you live!
EHP is only available if you live in England and only if you have already applied for it. However applications are now open for Head Start.

In the South East, South West or London, contact Carly Shannon at SELT.

In the East Midlands, West Midlands and East of England, contact Kelly Neave at EMLC.

In Yorkshire or the Humber, contact Jonathan Cobbold at Carnegie Leaders.
(If you are in a small school (<100 pupils) Jonathan will also be able to confirm whether you are eligible for a £500 supply grant too.)

In the North East, Helen Noteyoung or Catherine Hudson at Tees University will be able to help.

In the North West, you will need to get in touch with Laura Stoneley at CEL.

Or give us a ring FREE on 0800 6125 324 and we will put you in touch with the right person for you.
